the sister duo the cords from glasgow visited egersund last summer, and mesmerized a small and dedicated audience at the tiny smiå venue. since then they have released their critically acclaimed debut album, furthering the british indie pop legacy, and they have shared stages with everything from the pastels and vaselines to belle and sebastian. this spring they are touring the uk with the charlatans, where vocalist tim burgess recently told the nme that the cords were one of his new favorite bands, which we can agree on. pop, fuzz and harmonies, yes please!
